At Utage Child Development Centre, our Speech Therapy services are designed to help children who have difficulties with speech, language, communication, or feeding. Whether your child isn’t speaking yet, struggles to form words, or finds it hard to interact socially, our experienced speech-language therapists are here to help.
What is Speech Therapy?
Speech therapy focuses on improving a child’s ability to:
Understand and use language
Form words and sentences clearly
Speak fluently and with correct pronunciation
Communicate socially with peers and family
Handle challenges with chewing, swallowing, or drooling
It is especially helpful for children with speech delays, autism, hearing issues, stammering, or neurological conditions.
When Should You Seek Speech Therapy?
Your child may benefit from speech therapy if they:
Are not speaking words by 18–24 months
Speak very little or use only gestures
Are difficult to understand after age 3
Repeat words or stammer while talking
Struggle with making sounds or forming sentences
Have trouble following instructions or expressing needs
Have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or hearing loss
Our Approach
Our speech therapists use:
Play-based, interactive activities to keep children engaged
Verbal and non-verbal communication tools (PECS, sign language)
Exercises to strengthen oral muscles for clearer speech
Language development strategies for vocabulary building
Parent training to support progress at home
Therapy is individualized to your child’s age, ability, and communication goals—and is often combined with psychological or occupational therapies for holistic progress.
